 |
| There is a special place on the west
coast of Mexico where the translucent swell of the blue Pacific
meets a point of land protruding into the sea.
|
|
| This place is known as Punta Pelicano
and is revered by both pelicans and humans alike seeking nourishment
of body and soul. The beach meanders through lava tide pools fringed
with sand and the verdant foothills of the Sierra Madre del Sure take
on a lavender hue in the early morning mist as they reach for the
sea. |
Punta
Pelicano is for those of us who are searching for a respite from the
frenzied pace of modern civilization. It is for lovers who want a
romantic escape. It is for friends who delight in sharing great food
and lively conversation in a tropical setting and colorful culture.
And it is for surfers who travel the coast looking for that one spot
that makes them want to return again and again. Whether you surf,
snorkel, fish, walk, read, practice yoga, ride horses, explore the
tide pools and caves, listen to music or just reflect under a canopy
of stars, a stay at Punta
Pelicano (72 kb) will reconnect
you with your spirit and rejuvenate your soul.

Designed
by a noted Mexican-Argentinean architectural team and built by native
craftsmen in 2002-2003 in the spirit of ancient peoples using Talavera
tile, stone and other natural materials, Punta Pelicano is both of
and for the earth. The main villa, “Casa de La Cascada”
has an air-conditioned guest suite, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms
and 2.5 baths, and embraces the sea and sunsets from an open veranda
and turquoise
tiled infinity pool. There is also a separate villa,
“Casa Roberto”, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths that sleeps
5-6 with its own cooking facilities. Coconut palms, fruit trees and
brightly colored flowers envelope each home and sweet scent of the
tropics fill the air. |
| Our on site management will ensure that your stay at
Punta Pelicano is the utmost in pleasure and comfort. It is here,
where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings. Or, you may wish
to venture down the beach to one of the many local outdoor restaurants
that serve fresh native creations and become acquainted with fellow
adventurers from all over the world. |
Punta
Pelicano is located in the village of Troncones, in the State
of Guererro, Mexico. (Map

which is served by many major airlines from the US and abroad, and
a 25 minute drive from Ixtapa, a major Mexican tourist destination. |
